Visiting
Some photos from our sunday visit at Jette and Kitty's. We had the most delicious and rich chocolate cake, and watched Despicable me. Now I know why my redecorating of the kitchen is moving so slow. No minions!

B-day
A few photos from my birthday sunday. Rune was an absolute sweetheart and catered to my every whim. We went for a walk and had lunch in a favorite cafe. A lovely day! Here are some of my presents. From my mum and her husband I got a gift card for Amazon, so I had a great online shopping spree last night! The cushions were a little present from myself, I think we need some more colour in the living room. The beautiful blue and white pitcher from Anne Black was a present from my dad. From Rune's dad and his wife I got these lovely homemade knitted mittens. And from Rune I got a gorgeous purse in eel skin from Becksöndergaard. He has also ordered a print from Etsy, I can't wait for it to arrive!
Have a great week!

The cupcake has landed!
A while ago I saw some cupcakes in a department store with bright green, yellow and pink frosting, so I took some photos and was going to write a post about them. Them seemed very artificial, but also strangely alluring...
It seems like the world has gone crazy for cupcakes lately and perhaps they have already had their day. Here in Copenhagen we've been a bit slow to get on board and those brightly coloured ones were some of the first 'real' cupcakes I've seen. But... then I had a tip from my hairdresser and I went to this shop called Agnes. Now talk about real cupcakes! The shop opened in september and they make the most fantastic varieties, I mean imagine a licorice or ginger zing cupcake...Their cupcakes are not only pretty, but so delicious!

Macaron heaven
When I visit London I always stop by the Ladurée shop in Burlington Arcade. Ladurée are famous for their macarons and they really are very delicious! The licorice one is an all time favorite... The first macarons I ever tasted were from a patisserie here in Copenhagen called La Glace. The shop has existed for 140 years and is famous for their many varieties of layer cakes. But La Glace have also been making macarons for ages and suddenly the traditinal shop is part of the current macaroon trend. When I passed La Glace the other day, their windows were a total macaron heaven filled with beautiful colours. Just lovely.

The scent of cinnamon
So I guess I'm in hibernation-mood, with the cold weather and all. I've been knitting, lighting candles in the evenings, and baking. Apple cake, buns, and these scrumptious cinnamon rolls that made the whole apartment smell delicious.

The invasion of the marzipan frogs!
I saw these frogs in a bakery and had to take a few photos. I don't know whether it was their acid green colour or just the quantity of them that fascinated me.... But their faces just seem so cheery, they make me smile!
