This is a photo of a special gift and a lovely gesture. These art nouveau-inspired acorn earsrings were a surprise gift from my father-in-law, Ole, and his wife, Alice. Not because it was my birthday or christmas, but just to make me happy. Well, mission accomplished! I am so grateful to be surrounded by such wonderful, generous people as Ole and Alice.
